ARRGGHHHH!
Old laptop is up and running so we are about 60 percent functional. Main computer is still struggling. Almost a week now. Maybe it's time to surrender.
yep, I am a vista user. I bought a Dell laptop in April, before my son graduated from BMT(I had a hunch he would want to have lots of puter access) The vista took some getting used to and I have been on the phone with Dell support twice needing to reload my entire system...but all is well now. I have heard Microsoft is moving away from vista...perhaps you would be wise to do some research to see if 7.0 is really on the horizon and if it is worth it to wait it out. Just a thought.....
But I should mention that although I have a DELL, I much prefer Macs any day. No viruses and they don't crash. Your money is better spent when you go for a MAC, although the downfall is that they are not as user friendly.
I have Vista. once I got over having to replace damn near everything cuz nothing worked with Vista it's been doing just fine! that was over a year ago.
This morning, I am thinking I will sit tight and try to have the old one fixed. I have a lot of essential software that I use and I am very afraid that none of it will be compatible.
I have been a MAC person most of my life...SGT Mark and Gayle both have MACs...but my little business uses ESRI ArcMap software and it only runs on Windows. Maybe I will wait to Windows 7.

Oooh technology. I have a love/hate relationship with it.
