We've been downsizing as a result of the recession, so we closed down one our storage units (when you live in one place for 26 years, you accumulate a lot of crap). Found lots of old stuff from my days in the Army, which may make for some fun posts.
But today, we were at the remaining storage unit retrieving 17,000 boxes of Christmas ornaments and lights when I found my street map of Baghdad and a National Geographic map of Iraq. Both were nicely mounted and well used.
Now they are in the dumpster. Don't I will need them any more.

It's never a good thing when a post is titled "Dumpster" and the first line is that you are cutting back. I was afraid you had started dumpster diving!
When you get your 17,000 lights up please come north and feel free to hang my several hundred.

Hey I'm closer!! you can hang mine on your way to Pop's place!!
:-)
Let us pray that you never need such things (maps) again.
So, are your 17,000 boxes of lights gonna look anything like the light show I posted tonight??
I can't wait to see it in person!!
We are working on the lights. By tradition, we usually finish by Jan. 1 :)
We are very not to need the maps.
I wish I had never heard of or seen Iraq.
But that's just me.
Or maybe it is'nt.
Oh, and I elected to not put any lights up this year, after the ice storm, then the never ending snow.
Unfortunately, I'm going to be digging out my maps, again. damn.
